My name is Kevin Makice and I am a researcher at Indiana University’s School of Informatics. I am currently researching the use and consumption of profile pictures on Twitter in an effort to better understand their role in establishing and maintaining connections between people.

If you are willing, I would greatly appreciate your time and participation in a survey investigating how individuals evaluate profile pictures. The survey should take about 15-30 minutes to complete (really, it's more like 5-10 minutes):

Use of Twitter Profile Pictures

Pictures play a big role in the identification of other members of a community and may predict the actions some people have to the account holder. This survey aims to shed light on your specific response to and strategy in assessing profile pictures attached to Twitter accounts.

Yes pictures have really big effect. I have one account that gets about 100 followers per day, i think because the funny pics on it. Other account only about 5-10 per day.
